The Institute of History and Law was established on the basis of the Faculty of History of Tsiolkovsky Kaluga State University by the rector’s order number 257- dated November 7, 2014 in accordance with the decision of the Academic Council of the University on 30.10.2014

The Faculty of History of Tsiolkovsky Kaluga State University is the oldest center of higher - historical education in Kaluga region. The faculty was opened in 1948 as part of the Kaluga State Teacher Training Institute.

Today the Institute of History and Law is one of the leaders at Tsiolkovsky Kaluga State University

The Institute guarantees high quality education.

And that means fundamental knowledge in the field of science about the man and society and, what is also important, the ability to acquire knowledge, to think broadly, systematically, and creatively.

The faculty prepares for the International two-level system of higher education - "bachelor - master". Graduates who have completed the first level are awarded a qualification and a bachelor's degree.

Graduates can continue their studies at the master courses with the following award of qualification and the master’s degree in the chosen field of study and profile.
