Supplementary vocational education programmes are developed in accordance with the federal state educational standards (higher and / or secondary vocational education, depending on the qualification level) and taking into account the requirements of the relevant professional standards. Each programme is updated in accordance with the changing requirements of the labour market and legislation. Taking into account the requirements of a customer, special courses are being developed, and educational modules are being included into professional retraining programmes.

Lectures and workshops are conducted by TKSU teachers as well as guest lecturers who have practical experience in the field of activity of the corresponding programme of supplementary vocational education.

Having completed the course successfully, the students receive documents of the established standard:

  • certificate of the established standard - with the length of the programme of up to 16 hours;

  • certificate of advanced training - with the length of the programme from 16 up to 249 hours;

  • diploma of professional retraining - with the length of the programme of 250 hours and more.

Kaluga State Unuversity named after K.E. Tsiolkovski, in close cooperation with Moscow International Higher Business School, provides training for promising senior and middle managers of the Russian Federation national economy organizations under the Presidential Programme of management training for national economic organizations of the Russian Federation

The Presidential Programme is a large-scale and in many ways unique programme that has been implemented in Kaluga region since 1998. Over a thousand specialists have been trained for about 20 years according to it. The programme received significant development and proved its effectiveness.

The programme allows students to gain professional knowledge, participate in internships in leading enterprises, establish business and friendly contacts, and improve foreign language skills.

The Presidential Programme provides enterprises with the opportunity to create background for the transition to modern forms and principles of management, to make positive changes in production structures and corporate culture, to establish new production and economic contacts. The programme graduates enter a specialized federal information database, which provides additional opportunities when participating in competitions for receiving government orders and attracting investments.

PROFESSIONAL RETRAINING

Professional retraining is a type of supplementary education, which is aimed at developing new competencies and special knowledge to obtain additional qualifications in a particular area. Such a training opens up many new opportunities for labor market participants, so most employers consider it a worthy alternative to a second higher education.

Professional retraining programmes are developed in accordance with Federal state educational standards (higher and / or secondary vocational education, depending on the qualification level) and taking into account the requirements of the relevant professional standards.

Professional retraining advantages are:

  • lack of general education subjects;
  • maximum proximity to practice;
  • duration of training is up to 1 year;
  • highly qualified teachers;

At the end of the training, a final examination is carried out, with the successful completion of which the Kaluga State Unuversity named after K.E. Tsiolkovski standard diploma is given, granting (certifying) the right to conduct activities in the chosen field;

opportunities for further training, including skills development;

opportunities to reduce expenses for training.

ADVANCED TRAINING

Advanced training is a type of supplementary education, which is aimed at improving the professional knowledge and skills of an employee within the framework of existing qualifications.

The main task of advanced training is to meet the needs of specialists in obtaining the full range of necessary information in the field of the latest scientific achievements, as well as the latest western and local experience in any field. It is also an opportunity to update the practical and theoretical knowledge of a specialist, which is necessary because of the increased requirements of the employer and all-Union State Standards to the level of competence of workers in various professions.

Upon completing the training and passing the final examination, the advanced training standard certificate of Kaluga State Unuversity named after K.E. Tsiolkovski is given.
